Remember the words of my friend from the post I wrote on the PACE program run by the Cherokee Nation?
If
they can't get you, they will get your family. If they can't get your
family, they will get your friends. One way or another, someone, either
you or someone you care about, will pay for your speaking out. It's why
we keep our mouths shut.
Two days after I wrote that PACE post, my personal Facebook account was falsely reported as a fake name and Facebook removed my account. With the upcoming election, pathetic attempts to silence people are expected. After all, Bill John Baker and his million dollar baby, the strongly disliked Choctaw, Kalyn Free, want to remain in power and will stoop to any level to do so. Can I prove it was they or their supporters who reported my account? No, but the timing appears to be more than a coincidence, especially considering the fact people who live in the nation know how things work and therefore often keep their mouths shut.
Don't worry about me. I'll get my Facebook account restored and continue to write and share information with the Cherokee people through here and social media. All this false report accomplished was to make my loyal followers more determined to help spread the information I share.
For anyone interested, here's a novel idea - If some Cherokees put as much time and effort into trying to improve our healthcare or housing as they do in defending a war bonnet wearing Santa or stirring up trouble on Facebook, we Cherokees could solve many of our problems very quickly. ;)
Those are my thoughts for today.
Thanks for reading.
Update: About two minutes after this post was published, I received this message from Facebook.
