Accountability, Genealogy and Elizabeth Warren

If Elizabeth Warren had done her genealogy and only claimed what she could prove, she would not have become the butt of jokes or the example of what not to do if you might later want to run for political office.Unfortunate as the situation is, it gives us a very good example of why family stories of Cherokee or Indian ancestry are not good enough when it comes to genealogy or claiming to be an Indian.

Don't allow yourself to become the subject of such a video in the future. Do your genealogy and only claim what you can prove.

Those are my thoughts for today.
Thanks for reading.

  1. In his 2006 book, "Among The Dead Cities," A.C. Grayling commented, ".. history has to be got right before it distorts into legend...". Warren is an example of a large segment of our society which increasingly turns its back on conscience & accurateness. Twila stands tall among those who will not allow such an attitude to infect the product of their research and writing.
