    Very interesting! I have actually had the honor of visiting New Echota. I loved going back in time and seeing how Cherokees lived just prior to removal. However, it is so sad that they were removed. Very sad indeed!

    I agree, very sad! I think this is a must see if one is visiting sites in the Old Cherokee Nation.

    I will be posting the second half of my visit there next week on Wordless Wednesday. That post will have the buildings, stickball field and other areas at the site.
