Honoring Our Ancestors Research Grant

As some of you may have heard, we received the April 2011 Honoring Our Ancestors research grant from Megan Smolenyak2. This grant will help me get started on a video research project in which I will interview Cherokee elders about their childhood, family traditions and histories.

I am very excited about starting this project and I am currently in the process of scheduling interviews. If anyone knows of an elder who lives in the 14 county service area of the Cherokee Nation who would like to participate in this project, let me know through the contact me link in my sidebar.
